Process
The biggest challenge of this project was to get the viewers to relate to the situations reflected in the spot and to make them even smile by recognizing themselves in it. The best way to show the day to day of so many families who practice various sports was to direct a large number of child actors plus the other actors and extras through varied locations. The key was to avoid tricks and find the ease and spontaneity with a touch of everyday humour. This spot means a return to the origins of Decathlon’s ads.
It may not seem very aesthetic, somewhat crude in its realism, very earthy... But it got gold in audiovisual execution in 2017 CdeC.
