Process
There is no doubt that producing this Decathlon spot is one of the great challenges we have faced. In just fifteen days, we had to coordinate with the organization of a real marathon to carry out a piece of vignettes. The goal was to be able to use the marathon infrastructure to convey accuracy and production value. The difficulty, beyond logistics and communication, lied in that all runners who appear on screen had to wear the advertiser’s brand. The required casting involved dozens of characters and around 100 extras that had to be dressed according to each scene. The important thing was to be able to shoot the films in only four hours without interrupting the dynamics of the marathon and to obtain a winning audiovisual piece.
How to shoot a spot inside a marathon in four hours, hundreds of characters, three cameras and survive in the attempt?
